  Dion 

  
  

  Dion is a rising 10th grader at Wheeler High School. His favorite subject is Science, especially Earth Science and Chemistry. He’s currently embarking on a new journey, having joined the JV football team as a Defensive Back, where he’s known on the field as “Dee.” Though it’s his first year playing, his coaches already see strong potential in him as a future Varsity player. While Dion wears many hats as a high school student, he also excels at home being a supportive big brother to his younger sisters and an amazing son. Like many teens, Dion is on a journey of self-discovery. Some find their path early, while others take time and a village. Dion found his village here at DFG. Through this experience, he has come to value accountability, punctuality, and service. His heart for giving has grown, and he now proudly lives by a personal mantra: being a Black man of excellence. We are proud of Dion and grateful for DFG.
